- Cedar — for outdoor carpentry builds that need to weather Texas sun and rain.

Carpentry FAQs
What does a finish carpenter do?
A finish carpenter handles all the visible woodwork that completes a room: baseboards, crown molding, door and window casing, wainscoting, built-ins, and custom trim. It’s the detail layer that makes a house feel finished rather than builder-basic — and it’s most of what we do.
How much does carpentry work cost in Dallas–Fort Worth?
It depends on linear footage, the profile complexity, material (paint-grade vs. stain-grade hardwood), and whether we’re matching existing trim. A single room of new baseboards costs far less than a whole-home crown molding package or a floor-to-ceiling built-in wall. We quote every job after a free in-home consultation, so the price reflects your actual rooms.
Can you match my existing trim and baseboards?
Yes — matching existing millwork is a big part of our work. We measure your current profiles and mill or source trim to match, so the new work reads as original to the house instead of an obvious add-on.
What’s the difference between MDF and real wood trim?
MDF (medium-density fiberboard) is ultra-smooth, knot-free, and ideal for painted trim — it takes paint beautifully and costs less. Real hardwoods like oak, maple, or walnut are the pick when you want a stained, natural-wood look. We’ll recommend based on your finish and budget.
How long does a carpentry project take?
A single room of trim or a built-in wall is often done in days; a whole-home trim package or multiple built-ins runs longer. We confirm the timeline at your consultation once scope and materials are set.
Do you build custom closets?
Yes — custom reach-in and walk-in closets are one of our specialties: shelving, hanging, shoe storage, and drawer stacks built to your exact dimensions, not a one-size kit forced into your space.
What is board and batten / wainscoting, and where does it go?
They’re wall treatments that add architectural depth: wainscoting covers the lower portion of a wall, board-and-batten uses vertical boards with battens over the seams. Both are popular in dining rooms, entries, hallways, stairways, and primary bedrooms — traditional or modern farmhouse styles.
Do I need to buy the materials, or do you?
We handle materials — we source the lumber, sheet goods, and finish materials for the job. If you’ve already bought something specific you want installed, we’re happy to work with customer-supplied materials too.
Will there be a lot of dust in my house?
We cut and fabricate as much as possible to minimize on-site dust, protect floors and furniture in the work area, and clean up daily. Finish carpentry is far less invasive than a full remodel.
Do you serve my area?
We’re based in the DFW metroplex and work across Dallas, Fort Worth, and surrounding cities — see the service-area list below. Not sure if we cover you? Call or text (945) 353-4992 and ask.
