Floors Built for North Texas Homes

DFW’s expansive clay soil moves with wet and dry cycles, and that movement travels straight into your floors: gaps in hardwood, cracked grout, squeaky boards. Humidity swings add their own stress. That’s why we lead with subfloor prep — leveling, repairs, and moisture checks before a single plank goes down — and recommend the right material per room instead of one floor for everything. Engineered hardwood and LVP handle movement better than solid hardwood; tile needs proper prep so grout doesn’t crack as the slab shifts. Built for Texas, not just installed in it.

Flooring FAQs

How much does flooring installation cost in Dallas–Fort Worth?

It depends on the material, square footage, subfloor condition, and trim/transitions. LVP and laminate run the most affordable installed; tile sits mid-range; solid hardwood costs the most. Subfloor leveling or old-floor demo adds to any of them. We measure in person and give one clear estimate covering prep, materials, trim, and transitions — call or text (945) 353-4992.

What’s the best flooring for Texas homes with concrete slabs and clay soil?

Engineered hardwood and luxury vinyl plank handle DFW’s foundation movement and humidity swings better than solid hardwood, which can gap or cup when moisture shifts. Tile is excellent for wet areas but needs proper subfloor prep so grout doesn’t crack as the slab moves. We’ll recommend per room, not one-size-fits-all.

Hardwood, tile, or LVP — which should I choose?

Hardwood brings warmth and resale value to living areas and bedrooms. Tile is the right call for bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms, and entries — anywhere water lands. LVP is the waterproof, pet-friendly workhorse for busy households and rentals. Tell us how each room gets used and we’ll steer you right.

Can you install new flooring over my existing floor?

Sometimes — LVP and laminate can often float over a flat, sound existing floor, which saves demo cost. But if the old floor is uneven, damaged, or the wrong height for doors and transitions, it needs to come out. We check the subfloor at the estimate and give you an honest recommendation.

How long does flooring installation take?

Most rooms take a few days: demo and subfloor prep, then installation. A whole-home install runs longer depending on square footage and material — tile takes longer than LVP, for example. You get a firm schedule before we start.

Do you refinish hardwood floors, or only install new?

Both. Sanding, staining, and refinishing existing hardwood often costs much less than replacement and can make worn floors look new. If the boards are too thin, cupped beyond repair, or damaged, we’ll tell you replacement is the smarter money.

Is LVP really waterproof? Good with dogs?

Quality luxury vinyl plank is waterproof through the wear layer — spills, muddy paws, and pet accidents wipe up without damage. It’s one of the reasons it’s the most popular choice for DFW families with pets. (The subfloor underneath still needs to stay dry, which is why prep matters.)

Will you move my furniture?

We handle moving furniture out of the work area as part of prep — you don’t need to clear the room yourself. We protect what stays and put everything back when we’re done.

Do you install baseboards and transitions too?

Yes — new baseboards or quarter round, matched transitions between rooms and flooring types, and stair nosing are all part of a finished install, included in your estimate. No raw edges left behind.

Do you serve my area?
